Lunar New Year also known as Spring Festival is a 15-day celebration of the arrival of spring and the beginning of a new year on the lunisolar calendar. It is the most important holiday in China, and it is also widely celebrated in South Korea, Vietnam, and countries with a significant overseas Chinese population. Those celebrating consider it the time of the year to reunite with immediate and extended family.
Each lunar year is connected to a zodiac animal and its related attributes. January 22nd 2023 celebrates the Year of the Rabbit!
Lunar New Year is also called: 春节 Chunjie (China), 설날 Seollal (Korea), ལོ་གསར Losar (Tibet) andTét (Vietnam)
