To install: 

These are made of soft silicone, so your needle can pierce through easily (using a fresh needle is best). You sew directly within the concave rim to attach it to your fabric.

To create the opening, use your seam ripper to start a small slit, then trim around it with scissors to form the hole. After that, carefully singe the raw fabric edges to seal them.
